In a major fallout of the developments in Karnataka Politics, the Congress in Manipur has submitted a memorandum to the governor asking him to dismiss the BJP led government in the state.

Leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Manipur and former chief minister of the State Okram Ibobi Singh called on Governor Jagdish Mukhi earlier in the day and sought dismissal of the illegally sworn in BJP led government in the state.

Citing Karnataka as an example where the Governor asked a BJP member to take path as chief minister, Ibobi Singh said a similar practice should be followed in Manipur.
