NPP candidate and former MP Agatha Sangma kick started her campaign for the prestigious Tura seat.

Agatha, the common candidate of the MDA alliance, began her campaigning at Adogkre in North Garo Hills on Monday.

Agatha is up against former chief minister Mukul Sangma, who has been fielded by the Congress in line with party’s policy to field former chief ministers as Lok Sabha candidates.

Agatha, a former union minister, has already launched a full scale campaign to keep ahead of her equally famed rival in the prestigious Tura seat.
