Sensation prevailed in Assam’s Cachar district as a BJP leader was shot dead by unidentified miscreants.

BJP leader, Sukhendu Das, who was a Gaon Panchayat President under Borkhola assembly constituency was shot dead by unidentified gunman, when he was returning back after attending an event yesterday.

Meanwhile, the police have detained 5 persons for questioning in connection with the case. The detained persons have been identified as Montu Chakraborty, Jaimul Ali, Darasing Rajbongshi, Mujibur Rahman Lashkar and Nizamuddin Lashkar.
