BJP declares first list of candidates for Sikkim Assembly polls

The Bharatiya Janta Party announced its first list of candidates for the state of Sikkim on Friday. The first batch consists of 12 candidates including state BJP President D. B.
The Bharatiya Janta Party announced its first list of candidates for the state of Sikkim on Friday.
The first batch consists of 12 candidates including state BJP President D. B. Chauhan who is contesting from Arithang constituency. The Central Election Committee of BJP zeroed in on the 12 following names.
Bhanu Bhakta Sharma from Gyalsing-Barnyak, Sancho Lepcha from Rinchenpong, RT Lepcha from Daramding, Bhola Chauhan from Melli, SB Karki from Khandong-Singtam, Birendra Poudyali from West Pendam, Bharat Dulal from Rehnock, Mohan Gurung from Chujachen, Ms Devi Basnett from Namcheybung, Jigdal Bhutia from Martam Rumtek, YT Lepcha from Gangtok and President DB Chauhan from Arithang.
The state President said that the party will carry the message of the central schemes to the common masses anf will also raise issues like rising numbers of drug users, online gaming and casinos in Sikkim.
