Today is the last day of campaigning for the 2nd phase of Lok Sabha polls, its battle for 7 seats in three states of the Northeast.

Party leaders are on a hectic campaign trail across the nation to garner support for their parties’ candidates for the last time. Altogether 97 constituencies across the nation will be going to polls on April 18.

In Assam, the five constituencies of Silchar, Karimganj, Managaldoi, Nagaon and Autonomous District, will go to polls on April 18. Polls will also be held for the Inner Manipur and East Tripura seats.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be campaigning at four different locations in Barak Valley today to drum up support for BJP candidates.

On the other hand, state finance minister and BJP leader, Himanta Biswa Sarma will be seen campaigning at various places of the state as Baahjani, Digripar, Dalgaon and Kalaigaon.
