Guwahati police has arrested four persons and seized at least 25 lakh rupees from their possession in the city’s Gorchuk area.
The arrested four persons were transporting the money from Manipur to Rangia in Assam.
The four persons were arrested after failing to produce proper documents to establish legality of the seized money.
During preliminary investigations, the arrested persons have revealed that they brought the money to purchase iron cutting machine from a person named Jamshed Ali of Rangia.
