Countdown for North East Diva 2019 begins

The preliminary rounds of North East Diva 2019 will begin from July 28 while the Grand Finale will be held on Aug 4. One can log on to www.northeastdiva.com to register their names online.

Aiming to empower and encourage young, talented and aspiring models of the region to making it big in the national and international stage, the winners of North East Diva 2019 will get an auto entry to the Top 20 finalists of Miss Diva 2020 of Miss India Organizations.

Aspiring models between the age group of 18 and 27 can register their names (both online and by submitting filled-in forms) with July 20 fixed as the last date for registration of names.

Speaking about the fifth season of the mega beauty pageant, Pride East Entertainments CMD Riniki Bhuyan Sharma said that North East Diva was conceptualized to provide aspiring models a platform to dream big and excel in national and international platforms and winners of the four previous editions have been able to carve a niche for themselves in the fashion and modeling industry.

“We began North East Diva with a view to providing young and aspiring models with a platform to that they had been lacking. And as you can see the winners of our past pagents are working as successful models and walking the ramp for celebrated designers,” Riniki Bhuyan Sharma said in Guwahati on Friday, July 5 during an interaction with journalists.

“We have tied up with the Miss India Organization and our contestants are trained by internationally-famous experts. The winner of North East Diva will get an auto entry to the Top 20 finalists of Miss Diva 2020,” she added.

“We started North East Diva in 2014. And the event is becoming bigger by the day. Our contestants will get the opportunity to be trained by the biggest names of the fashion industry,” Syed Zarir Hussain, Chief Managing Editor of News Live, said.

Anindita Kakoty, winner of Fiama North East Diva 2018 who also won the coveted crown of ‘Miss Talented’ in Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva 2018, also narrated her association with North East Diva.
