Unidentified armed miscreants from across the border in Myanmar targetted an Assam Rifles temporary operating base camp in Mon district of Nagaland in the wee hours of Wednesday prompting the forces to retaliate immediately.
As per reports there has been no casualty on either side. According to Assam Rifles sources the Nokhyu temporary base camp situated between Chen Wangti and Chenlangshu village came under attack from across the Myanmar border.
It was a standoff with small arms and no casualties reported so far, the Assam Rifles sources added.
