An inter-ministerial team of the Manipur government visited the violence hit Makhan village in Senapati district on Thursday to review the prevailing situation.
The team after inspecting the affected area also extended financial assistance besides distributing relief materials to the affected families.
As many as 25 families were rendered homeless after unidentified miscreants set ablaze their houses on September 17.
The team includes Manipur Tribal Affairs Minister N Kayisii, PHED Minister Losii Dikho besides Lok Sabha MP Lorho S Pfoze.
Apart from this, civil society groups along with members of church bodies also extended support to the affected families. Indian Red Cross Society donated basic amenities like utensils, candles, soaps etc.
The Senapati district administration gave away Rs 40,000 in cash along with ration while Senapati ADC has donated Rs 1 lakh. The state Government on the other hand has so far donated almost Rs 3,60,000 in addition to supply of ration.
However, Section 144 continues to be imposed in the area and Makhan People’s Organisation on the other hand stands firm on their decision to go for strike if their demands are not met by October 5th.
