The Naga National Political Groups or the NNPGs will have formal talks with Nagaland Governor and interlocutor for peace talks RN Ravi in New Delhi today.

This crucial meet comes three days after the Government of India held a fresh round of talks with the NSCN-IM.

It may be mentioned that the collective leadership of NSCN-IM held formal talks with the Government of India in New Delhi on October 10.

The meeting between a 10-member delegation of the NSCN-IM led by the group’s general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah and Government of India representatives lasted for almost 3 hours.

According to top sources, during the marathon meet the NSCN-IM reiterated its demand for a separate flag and constitution.

Sources added that the NSCN-IM is not willing to give up on its critical demands including the need for separate flag and constitution plus the sovereignty issue.
