41st National Junior Boys Handball Championship kicks off in Manipur

The 41st National Junior Boys Handball Championship 2019 kicked off on Wednesday at the Indoor Stadium of Imphal’s Khuman Lampak Sports Complex. The Championship is being organised by the Manipur
The 41st National Junior Boys Handball Championship 2019 kicked off on Wednesday at the Indoor Stadium of Imphal’s Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
The Championship is being organised by the Manipur Handball Association under the aegis of the Handball Federation of India.
Over 500 boys from 28 states and 2 Sports Academies are participating in the Championship.
Apart from the home team Manipur, players from the different states of India are participating in the championship.
Speaking as the chief guest of the opening function, Forest and Environment Minister Shri Thounaojam Shyamkumar hoped that the championship will further strengthen the sense of national integration in the country.
He further said that the championship will help in strengthening the team spirit among the participants and bring peace and prosperity in the country.
Dr. S Ranjan Singh, Chairman, Tourism Corporation of Manipur Ltd, Shri Anandeshwar Pandey, Secretary General, Handball Federation of India and other dignitaries graced the inaugural event.
