A 17-year-old hardcore ULFA-Independent cadre was arrested by police at Dhuniapathar village under Sapekhati police station in Eastern Assam’s Charaideo district on Sunday.

Sources said that the arrested cadre had joined the outfit around a year ago and had undergone military training at a camp in Myanmar along with other fresh recruits.

The cadre reportedly lost his way and entered India after the Myanmar army attacked insurgent camps in its soil recently. No weapons were recovered from his possession.
